Nottinghamshire Easter Egg Run for Kids
Sunday 24th March 2013: 0930hrs for 1000hrs departure
When a friend dropped me a line this week to see if I fancied joining him for the Nottinghamshire Easter Egg run, I couldn’t say no. They say charity begins at home, well this is a perfect example of the good we as bikers can do. Set up by the local Fire & Rescue Service, and with the help of several local businesses, it’s aim is to provide days out to local disadvantaged children and children with special needs. They’ve even managed to make one terminally-ill child’s dream come true by sending them to see Santa in Lapland.
All you need to do is turn up on the day with either an Easter Egg or two, or a cash donation (or even both ;-)). All money goes to the cause and the eggs will be delivered to local children to let them know someone is thinking of them on the day.
Meeting Point:
Last year over 1,000 bikers turned up to ride from the meeting point at Forest Recreation Ground (the old Goose Fair Site) to the Mansfield Fire Station along the A60. All donations will then be collected at the station and distributed locally.

It’d be great to see you all there, if you’re riding up from down south, drop me a line as I’ll be riding back after the run.
Be good to see you there,
Bruce
