How to run in a motorbike – is it possible to do it in a day? After picking up Helga last week, I only had a day available to get the miles in before her 1st service was booked. I’m heading up to Hilltop Motorcycles soon to let them work their magic so needed Helga (the BMW R1200GS Rallye TE) all run in prior to that.
I often run my bikes in by heading to Dover for sunrise, then taking the back roads West to Land’s End, having a brew, then turning around and heading home again – roughly about 700 miles in one hit.
So after posting up on the facebook page what I was doing and asking for people to meet up along the way, I was absolutely stunned by the response as a host of eager (mental) bikers agreed to meet up at various points along the route.
So that was it. Set in stone, we were going for a ride – only drawback was it was February and FREEZING!
A HUGE thank you to everyone who came along to meet up, you are all awesome – flippin’ mental, but awesome 🙏👍
