Bridgestone on board to sponsor TeapotOne
TeapotOne is pleased to announce Bridgestone as our latest corporate sponsor and official tyre partner for the project.
Bridgestone, the world’s largest tyre and rubber company, will be providing Bruce Smart with their new Battlax BT-023 Sports Touring tyres, as he will be embarking on October 1st 2012 on a 100,000 miles all terrain around the world trip on a sports motorbike for charity.
“I am delighted to welcome Bridgestone”, he says. “Doing a journey of this magnitude and extreme nature solo, means I need the utmost faith in my tyres as they will be exposed to every type of terrain in every type of condition. With Bridgestone on my bike I’m ready to tackle whatever twist and turn the journey ahead throws at me.”
Bridgestone Trade Marketing Executive Dan Woodward says: “Bruce spoke to one of my colleagues at the 2011 Motorcycle Live show, when I heard what Bruce was planning I was intrigued. Turns out the project is simply epic, and is also raising money for a number of fantastic causes.
“The trip is certainly going to be very demanding on both bike and tyres, which is why we will be supplying our renowned all round performer the Battlax BT-023. Bridgestone are proud to be part of this amazing project and we can’t wait to see where this adventure leads”.
Bruce will be also be attending Bridgestone’s stand at this year’s Silverstone motoGP.
Bruce is supporting St Christopher’s Hospice, the cancer hospice that cared for Bruce’s mother Maggie Smart who died in 2008, the Born Free Foundation, the British Legion and the Children’s Trust.
Donations can be made directly to each of the charities through the TeapotOne website. For more information please visit his website: www.teapotone.com
