If you find yourself with a spare one and a half hours to spare, and fancy watching a fairly rudimentary attempt at riding the Transfagarasan Highway in Romania, then I have just the option for you.
This vid covers the route from South to North, from the Vidraru Dam to just South of the wee village of Cartisoara. It’s unedited and completely uninterrupted, so keep your eyes peeled for the many mistakes, missed apexes, and two near misses along the way. I almost lost the front in the gravel/potholes etc twice in the lower southern sections, but the feel and feedback from the Bridgestone BATTLAX T30’s was superb.
If nothing else it should give you an idea of what to expect if you ever head this way yourselves.
