TeapotOne Visits The Children’s Trust
I was lucky enough to recently be invited to The Children's Trust in Tadworth, Surrey, to meet some of the young people there who were currently staying at the trust. They'd heard about TeapotOne.com and wanted to see the bike and ask me some questions, so how could I say no!
Martin and Ethan are great couple of lads who were both dying to get on the bike and hit the road. Full of life and brimming with questions about the trip, they were soon cracking jokes and taking the mick out of my bald dome! This was just like being at work with the lads?
It's becoming a running theme now, but the every present question of, "Why are you taking THAT bike?" keeps rearing it's head. Maybe I should listen to people's advice about taking a BMW GS………. NAHHH! Sportsbikes forever for me. Probably won't be saying that when I'm knee deep in sand and mud through Africa, but hey-hum.
The lads had brought along a Children's Trust teddy for me to take on the trip which I gratefully took possession of. He'll be accompanying me through the whole journey and I'll be updating the kids at the trust with our progress through his very own facebook page, which will shortly be getting set up.
The trust is going to run a competition where the kids are going to name him, so keep an eye out for the future travels of 'TeapotOne and ?????' (coming soon.)
I'm really grateful to Anna, Ruth and all the staff at the trust for making it possible for me to meet some of the young folk who are being helped there at the trust. The Children's Trust at Tadworth in Surrey is one of the most amazing places it's been my pleasure to discover. Everyone involved are simply incredible and the work they do is nothing short of amazing. Just go to their website at http://www.thechildrenstrust.org.uk/ and find out more about them, their work, and read about some of the incredible stories behind the trust.
Please dig deep and donate whatever you can to this worthy charity by going to the TeapotOne just giving page for The Children's Trust at http://www.justgiving.com/teapotone-ChildTrust
