The Royal British Legion meet TeapotOne

The 21st Feb 2011 saw the teapotone team meet with The Royal British Legion at their London Bridge HQ.

We are proud to fundraise for this incredibly worthwhile organisation, and it was a joy to meet with Teresa Greener and find out a little more about the work ‘The Legion’ undertakes. With it’s 90th anniversary this year, there are no shortage of events for us to get involved with, the first of which will be the Telford Fun Day.

To celebrate The Royal British Legion’s 90th anniversary, the ‘Legion’ is holding a grand family day of entertainment in Telford Town Park, Shropshire.

Commencing at 11.00am with a military band on stage, the musical entertainment will be rich and varied, from the Birmingham Sikh Band to the Polka Dot Dolls, with the Funky Box Band and the Jive Aces, and other guests still to come.

There will be a children’s entertainments area, Civil War re-enactments, a display of military vehicles, vintage cars, motor cycles from the Legion’s Riders Branch, a genuine 1940s NAAFI van, food and drink, a photographic exhibition of current day military life (by Sean Power), a Beat Retreat – and Jump 4 Heroes (The Royal British Legion Extreme Human Flight team) will be dropping in!

Come along and join the fun, click here for details.
